Sarah here! the brainchild behind trekkable studios.
Trekkable Studios began long ago, back when the margins of my notebooks were filled with doodles instead of notes.
I've always been a daydreamer; my mind wanders easily. Ideas appear on scraps of nearby paper at work and home, sometimes even on napkins at dinner. I always have a pen handy just in case.
I’m a dreamer. I’m a reader. I’m a midnight gamer.
I’m also a travel junkie and nature lover, overthinker and procrastinator, painter and illustrator all rolled into one odd human. My art is inspired by the things I surround myself with, from books to butterflies, donuts to dragons, pillows to Pokémon.
Caffeination fuels creation in my studio, so this home is never without coffee (or tea depending on the time of day). This home is also never without noise or activity of some kind. With a young child, two rambunctious mutts, and a cat whose sole purpose in life is creating paranormal activity around the house, it’s quite lively.
I fully believe in fun, functional art.

I also believe in Aliens.

I make art that sticks.
Quite literally. Stickers are my bread and butter. I love making them and slapping them to things. I’m a bit of a collector myself.
Stickers allow people to express their inner selves and show their feelings for people, places, and things. They can even be one of the best forms of passive aggressiveness.
One of my favorite things about stickers is their accessibility. It’s art, but it’s affordable. It’s fun, but it’s functional. Stickers can be placed basically anywhere. Car, laptop, water bottle, skateboard, trash can, your floor… you name it, you can probably slap a sticker to it.
All in all, stickers are my favorite form of art, but I also make prints, postcards, and original paintings. I even do a bit of needlework. Nothing too tedious; I can be a bit impatient. I love chunky yarn projects though.
Back to aliens though. They definitely exist and so does climate change.

While painting is my first love, illustrating in Procreate on my iPad has been my go-to art form for the past several years. It’s become such a huge part of my creative process that it literally never leaves my side. It’s been a great on-the-go sketchbook, allowing me to capture ideas quickly and efficiently, basically ensuring I don’t forget all of the things before I’ve had a chance to explore them.
Depending on the project, I also work in Adobe CC programs, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. I actually learned about the possibilities of illustration thanks to these programs, specifically while experimenting with an old, borrowed Wacom tablet. From there, it’s a slippery slope into curling up on the couch while hunched over your iPad madly scribbling the tiniest of details unable to be seen with the naked eye. Or a zoom in feature.
Although my focus is in illustration and painting, I also love photography. I am by no means a professional, but I do dabble in capturing moments for fun, both big and small, whether film or digital. The process of photography, as well as the images that arise from it, inspires much of my work.
I’m simply a human that loves to create, explore, read, and enjoy food & coffee while proudly taking up space in this weird, wild, whimsical world.
If you made it this far, thank you for indulging my need to share my very scattered brainwaves with you. You are indeed a wonderful human being. If you’re interested in more word vomit, check out my blogging skills.
And maybe, if you’re bored, sign up for my occasional newsletter below. I’m super fun in writing, I promise. But, you know, you do you.
Thanks for joining me on this journey, fam! Much love!
